Inova nurses interact with the more than 2 million individuals we serve annually, and their compassionate and comprehensive level of care is key to providing a high level of excellence for all our patients.

For many patients, nurses are the front-line of their care. Inova’s nursing practice is grounded in connection, caring, compassion, and excellence through innovation, as they serve our patients, their families, our communities, and each other. The more than 5,000 Inova registered nurses are deeply committed to the care they provide, as well as patient safety and improving patient outcomes.

Over the past year, our nurses continued to shine through the many awards and honors they received, including 36 Nursing Excellence Award winners and 30 Daisy Award winners for Extraordinary Nurses. Over 300 nurses contributed to Research, Quality Improvement or Evidence Based Practice publications or presentations. And our Nurse Residency Program (NRP) continues to assist new graduate RNs through the transition from nursing student to Registered Nurse.

As our nurses lead the way in improving the health of our communities, all five Inova hospitals remain committed to the American Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet® designation and the excellence it represents.
